Chapter 11

It was almost Dinner time and Khushi's tummy started to rumble like crazy. She slowly rubbed her belly to calm her rumbling down. Arnav saw her do that and was a bit worried he put his hand on hers and asked her in a worried tone

Arnav: Khushi are you ok, Is it the baby, Is the baby kicking (he continued to rub her belly clockwise)

Khushi: (chuckled he was so adorable and so cute, She said) Arnavji its been only 3 months the baby wont kick now. Its too early in the 4th or 5th month the baby will start kicking

Arnav: But then why is your tummy rumbling Khushi do you want to go to the doctor (he suggested)

Khushi: No I dont but I do want to go to a  restaurant instead

Arnav: (raised his eye brows) What the !! Khushi your tummy is rumbling i thinks serious it shouldn't be doing that

Khushi: (continued to chuckle looking at his cute face she looked down at her baby and then said) See that Baby your father thinks something is wrong should we tell him what is wrong

Arnav: (irritated) Khushi this is no time for jokes I seriously think we should go to the hospital

Khsuhi: Oho Arnavji its nothing I am hungry and I am craving for food thats all

Arnav: (Shocked) What the !!

Khushi landed up laughing at him and then planted a kiss on his cheek with out realizing and suddenly she pulled bad when she came to her sense. Arnav stood there lost as she planted those soft plump perfectly red juicy lips on his cheek. He was in heaven, Both their hearts started to beat faster and faster and there was awkward silence in the air Khushi felt embarrassed and mentally cursed herself as she was not sure how he would react and then suddenly he broke the silence and then said in a husky voice.

Arnav: So the baby wants food is it

Khushi nodded like a little child and pouted her lips and Arnav found that extremely adorable he couldn't help but just kiss her back on her cheek. He slowly bent forward and then kissed her on her hot sand skin and her eyes widened and she couldn't believe it that he had just done that. He pulled back and smiled at her She blushed back at him and then in a spilt second he said

Arnav: Lets go out for a change

Khushi smiled and got up and went to get ready , Arnav took her to a typical Hawaiian restaurant and they ate happy Khushi gorged on the food and she loved their coconut curry some how it was just right for her to eat. She had two whole portions of those with rice all by herself and Arnav thought to himself that their baby was surely going to be a healthy one with the appetite that Khsuhi had. He chuckled

When they finished Khushi insisted that they go for a small walk as she was now so full that she needed to digest all the food. They went to a near by beach and walked on the soft sand as the waves pulled into the sure. They laughed and giggled and the stars came out shinning bright as the two lovers walked calmly 

Chapter 10

It was evening and Khuhsi got off the bed and went down for a nice hot cup of tea. As she entered the kitchen she hummed away a silly tune a smile on her face she stood near the gas. She was so happy that Arnav had spoken to the baby, Finally he was opening up to their child and she was happy this was one of the things she was hoping he would do.. She had faith her devi maya would make everything go right for them and their small little family.

Arnav on the other hand sat at the pool area and was dreaming he was meant to be working on some important file but he just couldn't get himself to do that. His mind wondered on the incident that just took place he was talking to his baby.. correction their baby. It felt so good to be doing that he thought. It was theirs and he was actually communicating to it. He always wondered how it would be to actually talk to his little one and it was not so difficult. Khushi made it really easy for him. He smiled thinking of her she looked so cute. It had now been 3 months and she was starting to look a bit chubby not a lot but her face seemed to have some fat her belly was slightly showing and she looked adorable when she use to make those pouting faces at him. When he left home with Khushi to move to Hawaii he was worried on how he was going to handle the pregnancy and how he was going to handle her especially because they use to fight so much. BUt things turned out to be fine and he was feeling happy. Khushi was an angel to his life and he knew he always felt for her. May be it was time to take times to the next level he thought. After all they had to act like a family for the baby

He got up and was walking towards the room when he heard a humming noise in the kitchen, He headed straight there when he saw Khushi standing next to counter poring hot tea into the two mugs. She had a smile on her face and was glowing even more and was humming away. Arnav went to her and slowly but his arms around her belly holding it lightly. She felt him around her and her heart pumped she was a bit startled not expecting him to do that. She smiled and then turned around and looked at him with big huge eyes she said softly

Khushi: Arnavji

Arnav: How are you feeling

Khushi: I am alright but are you (she raised her eye lids at him)

Arnav: (smirked and then said in a husky voice) Yeah I am fine. Khushi I think we should start to act like a family now especially for the baby I mean we aren't married but for the baby we are its parents. I want our baby to grow up in a healthy environment

Khushi placed her hand on his chest and then smiled at him she was feeling so good after he said that she also wanted this so badly

Khushi: Arnavji I think that would be perfect for the baby I think we should behave like a family because our baby will know what it is like to live like a normal family... (she paused and then said sadly) Not like us where we had to grow up with out our parents (she looked up at Arnav with a bit of sadness and then said) I hope our baby wont have to go through that

Arnav: (kissed her fore head and took her into a hug she rested on his chest feeling like she was in the safest place and then said) No never our baby would never go through that Khushi our baby will have to best of everything and we will always be around to guide it and protect it. I promise I wont let anything bad happen to our small little world


Khushi: (smiled at him and then said to him softly) Arnavji i am so glad that I am having this baby with you. I trust you and I know you will always protect us (she hugged him tighter and just stood there)

He curled his arms around her and smiled at her taking her into a possessive hug they stood there for long in each others embrace and then finally she lifted her head and smiled at him and then said

Khushi: Arnavji do you want some tea

He smiled she was about to pick the tray when he stopped her and then said

Arnav: Didn't I tell you your going to do nothing but just take care off yourself.

Khushi chuckled and he picked the tray ups and then they went out to enjoy the sunset as night dawned the sky marking it to be a special moment for both of them

Chapter 9

Khushi was still sleeping in bed Arnav decided to stay at home today after her fall he didn't want to leave the baby or her alone. He asked Carlata to make breakfast and lunch and keep it ready for them. Arnav was sitting on his lap top by the pool when Khushi woke up from her bed. She searched for him and came down and saw him typing. She smiled as she rubbed her eyes and walked towards him

Khushi: How come your home (she smiled)

Arnav: (looked up at her and then said) i didn't want to leave you and the baby alone

Khushi: (smiled and then said) Its ok Arnavji i can manage you go (she suggested)

Arnav: (raised his eye brows) No way. I am not leaving until i know your ok (he paused and then said softly) and besides i thought i should spend time with the baby. I was doing research online and it said that the father should try to communicate withe baby as much as he can so the baby knows about him.

Khushi smiled she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Did Arnav actually want to spend time with her and the baby. She was on 7nt heaven to be honest. Her heart sprung into joy and she couldn't help but smile. This love for the baby from Arnav just gave her goose bumps and butterflies in her tummy.

Khushi: Arnavji i will make breakfast  for us ok (she smiled)

Arnav: (looked up and said) What the !! no freaking way. (he got up and made her sit on the couch and then said) You sit right here. I have asked Carlata to make it.

Khushi chuckled at his behavior she sat next to him and enjoyed the serene beauty as the sea waves pulled on the sand the palm trees that swayed in the wind. Khushi was in hevean. Arnav sat besides her and admired her. She had the most cutest smile on her face she looked happy and glowing and that made him happy his heart swelled bigger. Arnav Sign Raizada felt so light to see the love of his life in such a happy state.

They were interrupted when Carlata got the brake fast trays. She placed the bowl of cornflakes down with some cold milk. Khushi looked at her and said in a grumpy voice.

Khushi: Cornflakes again

Carlata: Khushi its in your diet thats why. The doctor said that you have to eat it good for digestion and the baby.

Khushi: But i dont want this i want some thing yummy like Aloo ka paratha (she shut her eyes and imagined) Hmmm Yummy

Caralata looked at Arnav and he blinked and asked her to leave by the time she opened her eyes she saw Carlata gone and the breakfast tray sitting on the table she looked away grumpily and turned the other way. Arnav chuckled at her cuteness and then turned her around. He filled the milk in the bowl of flakes and then picked up the spoon and put it close to mouth. Her eyes looked up at him and he gave her a calm look. She opened her mouth and he fed her the first bite and then he said

Arnav: If you eat this i promise that for lunch you can have paratha

Khushi: (she looked at him cutely and then said) Fine but only if you feed me the rest

Arnav smirked at her and picked the bowl up and then fed her the cornflakes. She ate it quietly she just really liked being fed by him. Even though it didn't taste good she ate it because he fed it to her.

After breakfast they sat there and enjoyed the beauty for a while until it started to become really hot Arnav suggested that they move inside to the hall. She sat in front of the tv and watched some hindi movie while he was working on his lap top.

The day past by they were sitting around with each other Arnav got Khushi Aloo Paratha for breakfast and she munched on it like a little child would. In the afternoon they both went into the house to relax it was too hot outside Khushi watched some silly salman khan movie and Arnav rolled eyes all day long while she watched the movie with smiling expressions. Sometimes giggling sometimes laughing and sometimes crying until it was late afternoon and she fell fast asleep on the couch. He picked up her up taking her up to their room he placed her soft figure on the bed. Looking down at her tummy he bent down and kissed it and patted her tummy and talked to his baby

Arnav: Hi I am Arnav Sign Raizada

He shut his eyes in frustration as he introduced himself his mind told him that this is not some business meet that he should be formal. He is talking to his baby. He needs to talk to it like a father but how. Arnav rolled in frustration and then tried once more

Arnav: Hey I am Arnav and I am your dad

he tried to be a bit more informal but failed again. He shut his eyes again in irritation how is suppose to talk to a baby. He was in deep thought when all his concentration broke as he heard a small giggle. Khushi was awake when he picked her up but didn't open her eyes. She liked being in his arms. When he placed her on the bed she slowly let go her eyes still shut she was going to open them and stop him when she saw he was making attempts to talk to their baby. She held back and watched what he was up to. Controlling her laughter finally the second futile attempt of Arnav to talk to their kid and she couldn't control she let her giggle out.

He looked at her with big huge eyes all shocked not expecting her to be awake. She smiled at him he looked embarrassed. He was about to get up and go when she caught hold of his hand and pulled him back. She placed his hand on her tummy and smiled at him. He looked at her lost and bit confused and then she said to him softly

Khushi: Talk from you heart then may be it will be easy

Arnav: (paused a bit and then said) Its not i usually dont do these things

Khushi: I know, Arnavji just let go of all the worry you have and just imagine that its only us. You me and our baby and then say what you want.

Arnav tried once more he shut his eyes and slowly released the tension he had and when he opened them he looked at her tummy where his hand was placed. She placed her hand over his hand and looked at him lovingly. Then he said in a soft husky voice to his baby

Arnav: I am going to love you so much. (he smiled) Daddy can't wait for you to come (he bent down and then kissed her belly and said once more) I love you

Khushi smiled as her heart swelled bigger. SHe could feel it thumping against her chest as she looked at her babies father the love of her life. He smiled back at her sitting on the bed he leant and pecked her fore head and she shut her eyes feeling him close. He looked up and then said in a soft voice.

Arnav: Thank you

She smiled at him and he covered her with a blanket and tucked her in making her and the baby comfortable. Arnav left the room with a strange light hearted feeling called fatherhood.

Chapter 8

His blood boiled in anger. He had monitored their movements in these passed two weeks. When Arnav and Khushi shifted to Hawaii they had unexpected baggage that tagged along with them and that was Shyam. Yes Shyam followed them to Hawaii. He was upset overt the fact that Khushi had chosen Arnav and wowed that day its self that he would create problems for them and would take Khushi away and make her his. He was tracking every movement of theirs and was seeing how Arnav was getting close to Khushi and how she was reacting to it. Unable to take it any more he decided to come up with a plan. To kidnap Khushi and take her far far away.


Meanwhile Arnav was on his way home when he got a call from her. Arnav switched on his blue tooth and spoke through it.

Arnav: Yeah Khushi...... Relax I am on my way home........ What the !! Khushi whats wrong with you....... Ok I am on my way I am coming just dont panic ok.

Saying that he put the phone down and rushed back home. It seems Khushi had fallen while she was standing on the stool. It wasn't a heightened stool and she just sprained her leg but still it was dangerous in her condition. He was a bit nervous. His mind kept saying something will happen to the baby but his heart told him to remain calm and see what the matter is.

He reached back home and then in a hurry he rang the bell 10 times. Carlata came to open the door he ran passed her and went up the room to see Khushi sitting on the bed with Ice pressed on her foot. She seemed fine. He walked over to the bed and sat next to her gripping her shoulders he became hysterical

Arnav: WHat the hell is wrong with you.

Khushi: Oho Arnavji its just a sprain chill.

Arnav: Seriously Chill !! (he shot back at her with anger and cupped her face with a frightened look) What if something happened to the baby. What if something happened to you. (he looked at a confused Khushi and then said) You are my family now and this baby is everything to us. What if I had lost you then what

Khushi: (cupped his face back and said in a soft tone touched by what he said) Arnavji I am right here nothing will happen to me (she took his hand and then brought it to her belly placing his hand there she said) Our baby is fine I promise. I called the doctor the minute I fell because I was also worried about the baby. She told me not to panic, She came home and checked me and said that the baby is fine. Thats when I called you.

She explained Arnav let out a huge sigh of relief. He relaxed a bit and his stress lines disappeared. Then he looked at Khushi and said to her.

Arnav: Look there is no need for you to do the house work. Thats why I recruited for help.

Khushi: Arnavji I am fine dont worry I like to do the house work

Arnav: Khushi no you wont ok. Cant you see you will harm yourself more. Its my final word.

Khushi just pouted cutely and nodded at him. She loved the caring nature he had for her it turned her on more. Arnav seeing her pout found her adorable oh how he wanted to kiss that pout away. Then he said

Arnav: Khushi there is one more thing

Khushi: Tell me (she asked him with a smile)

Arnav: Khushi I dont want you to wear salwars any more

Khushi: (confused) But why

Arnav: Look Your pregnant and you should where loose clothes. I have bought you long dresses that will be comfortable for you. And they will be perfect for this weather

Carlata brought in the dresses and laid them and on the bed and Khushi opened her mouth wide and then said in a shocked tone

Khushi: But Arnavji how can I wear this I mean its so open.

Arnav: It will be fine look you should wear dresses like this ok. We are in Hawaii not India that you have to wear these salwars. I think you would look nice in them and also it will be comfortable for you and the baby

Khushi thought for a second and then decided that he was right. They were loose and it was quite hot she knew they would be comfortable and also she was pretty touched when he said that he would find her good in those.

The night passed by Arnav and Khushi went to bed. Khushi insisted to stay awake she wanted to watch a movie but Arnav put her to bed she was dying of sleep and like always they both slept on their sides of the bed but as the night passed they landed up in each others arms nice and warm.

Chapter 7

It was early morning the birds chirped waking up to the rays of the sun. Light filled within the room, both the figures on the bed seemed to be in deep sleep both at peace and feeling warm and safe. What they didn't know was that during the night as sleep took over they rolled close to each other and created a warm embrace for themselves. Khushi lay flat on her back. Arnav had an arm around her his hand on her tummy. They were cuddled up in a warm quilt. Khushi had a small smile on her lips and Arnav was just at peace feeling safe that his family was close to him. He may not have considered Khushi as a wife but he defiantly considered her as his. She was part of him of them. He did love her a lot and he realized it the night they lost control. He just hadn't verbally told her yet. He hoped she would understand after all he wouldn't just loose control and have a baby with just any girl. She was special.

Khushi also was madly in love with her Laad governor. She always new that she loved him right from the start. Too be honest she was glad that she didn't marry that Shyam he was a weird creep she only tolerated him for her parents. Her heart always belong to Arnav. But she was too scarred to tell him that because he never wanted marriage and for her marriage was the ultimate way to express love. She just prayed to devi maya that their baby always keeps Arnav and her bonded to each other. Their baby was going to be a real princess and it was going to be their princess. 

Arnav shifted a bit with the sun light bothering him, he opened his eyes half sleepy half groggy. The first thing that he saw was the angel who was sleeping next to him. She was fast asleep her hair all messy her eyes closed her lips looked so plump. She seemed to be at peace. He could see a small smile playing on her lips. Oh how he wanted to claim them. His eyes went on her tummy to see his baby he lightly tapped her tummy to greet his baby a good morning. Then he realized that his hand is been on her tummy since the time they fell asleep. Slowly he moved it and noticed the expression on her face became gloomy and irritated. Like some one has taken a little child's favorite toy. He moved the locks of hair from her face and then placed his hand on her tummy again. And it didn't even take a second for her smile to return back. Arnav raised his eye brows in surprise. This girl was really something she was mad crazy funny cute annoying and cranky all at once. She was an entertainment package for sure. He chuckled at that thought. Flash back of last night how she drove him mad for ice cream came to his mind. 

Khushi could feel movement on the bed and she woke up with that. Opening her eyes slowly the first thing she saw was Arnav looking at her sleeping. He looked adorable she smiled at him. Then realization dawned on her when she felt him so close to her. She got up and sat on the bed. Arnav followed her and sat up too. Khushi grabbed her dupatta and put it over her shoulders blushing continuously. Arnav said 

Arnav: I am going for a bath I will be late for office 

Khushi: nodded and then Arnav left the bed and headed off to the bathroom. Khushi went down to prepare his coffee and her tea. Carlata the help told her that she would prepare the tea and coffee but Khushi insisted that she would do it. She wanted to make coffee for Arnavji with her own hands. Arranging the coffee and his toast on the tray she walked up to the room and opened the door placing the tray on the coffee table she was going to leave when suddenly she banged into a hard exterior. She looked up to see him. He had just come out of a bath. The towel around his neck he looked down at her. He was shirtless his hair was shinny and wet. He looked so hot Khushi's insides started to dilate, she felt warmth within her system. Arnav looked at her for a good 2 minutes she was beautiful when she blushed. She hesitated and then said 

Khushi: I... I made coffee and toast for you 

Arnav: Why did you, You know your not suppose to work 

Khushi: Arnavji Its ok, I just felt like making so i did (she said with a glowing smile)

Arnav: (smirked) hmm ok. come lets go down. We can eat brake fast at the pool side like you like to

Khushi smiled and then took the tray down. Arnav followed her. He was really happy she prepared breakfast for him. He could see she did it out so much love thats what counts the most.

They had breakfast and then Arnav left for office. But before he left he gifted her an unexpected surprise. When she handed him his watch and coat he leaned in and kissed her cheek saying good bye to her. Khushi shut her eyes feeling his lips on her cheek. She smiled and he saw her reaction when she opened her eyes she saw him look at her with a smirk she blushed furiously he said bye once more and left for work.

Khushi was glowing after that even more. She was so happy she hummed away all day. Her heart jumped in excitement. Arnav may be very khadoos but she knew when he was soft he was the most softest person ever. She loved him so much. She decided that she would cook dinner for him too. His favorite Aloo puri.

Today was indeed a good day for both of them.

Meanwhile Arnav was in the office. He spoke to the land lord of Raj's shop and bought the shop off. They had to renovate the shop. Arnav decided to start a clothes line and call his new showroom "Khushi" specially named after the love of his life and the mother of his baby. The line would consists of brightly colored clothes. Crazy designs and fun frisky use of patterns, they would consist of dresses. Long dresses summery ones perfect for the Hawaii weather.

He also made a note he needed Khushi get out of those salwars. She was pregnant those salwars must be uncomfortable for her. She would be more better off in long dresses. Loose tee shirts and airy clothes. he knew she would crib to wear these clothes but he was make sure she wore them for her comfort, and also he was sure she would look extremely beautiful in them.

Arnav and Khushi's life was getting well adjusted in Hawaii. But little did they know they had a hurricane approaching their little world or love. Would they be able to make it through stay tuned to find out what happens next.

Chapter 6B

They walked on the streets at night looking for an ice cream pallor that sells kulfi at 2:30 at night. Arnav was certain they wouldn't find a place but for khushi's sake he agreed to come. If he knew her he knew that she wouldn't stop until she got her kulfi. They walked along the quite beach as the waves pulled into the sand creating soft noises. The moon shone brightly and it looked magical.

Arnav: Khushi we are not going to get kulfi here ok. This is not India

Khushi: I dont care Arnavji I need it and I need it right now.

Arnav: (rolling his eyes) You are crazy

Khushi: Arnavji just you wait and see if you look hard you can find god also.

Arnav: Yeah right

They argued for a little while, while walking when suddenly Khushi saw some shops one of the shops shutter was still open and the light was still on. She said excited

Khsuhi: (pointing to the shop)Look there is a shop there, Lets go

She went running Arnav went behind her trying to slow her down he said

Arnav: Careful Khushi go slowly.

She slowed down and then they walked into the shop. There was a man in the shop. Khushi looked at him and didn't know what to say. Arnav came behind her and then she nudged him. He rolled his eyes and then said

Arnav: Excuse me, do you by any chance have some Kulfi

Man: (smirked) You look Indian.

Khushi: Are you Indian too

Man: Yes I am  My name is Raj Pandit (he smiled)

Arnav: (was getting irritated) Sir do you have any kulfi

Raj: Yes we do

Khushi: (excited) You do (he eyes sparkled)

Raj giggled and opened the fridge and opened the kulfi and gave to her in a plate.

Khushi: (glowingly said) Thank you so much (she looked at Arnav and then said) See what I told you dundhne se khudha bhi mil jata hai

Arnav rolled his eyes she took her ice cream and went to the table and sat herself down. while Arnav payed at the counter the man asked

Raj: Is she pregnant

Arnav: (puzzled) Yeah, but How can you tell

Raj: (chuckled) My wife is pregnant to. She use to have crazy cravings I had to drive half way across town to get her noodles from a particular place.

Arnav: Women (he said cheekily)

Raj: So are you new to Hawaii

Arnav: Yes we are, just moved in a few minutes back.

Raj: You are going to love it here. It is the best place to live. I am really going to miss this place

Arnav: Miss it what do you mean (he asked puzzled)

Raj: Well I can't pay the rent any more the land lord is throwing me out and We are leaving for India then

Khushi who was hearing all this started to well up in tears. Arnav looked around at the place. It looked big enough. There were two floors and then suddenly an idea struck him and he asked the man

Arnav: What if I want to buy this place

Raj: What do you mean

Arnav: Well I am actually looking for shop space, I want to start a boutique here, This place looks perfect

Raj: You would have to talk to the land lord for that (he said sadly)


Arnav: (put a hand on his shoulder and said) look I was thinking of opening a boutique. My name is Arnav Singh Raizada owner of Ar Companies. I wanted to start a boutique, but this place is too big for that. So I was thinking how about I have my boutique on the first floor and on the upper level you can have a little caffe.

Raj: (smiled and said) Sir that would be great I mean I dont no how to thank you.

Arnav: (smiled and said) Its ok. Look Tomorrow I will come by and we can discuss further.

Raj smiled and then Arnav said

Arnav: BTW how how much for the kulfi

Raj: Its on the house

Arnav nodded and then went back to Khushi. Raj left the two alone he was on the phone to tell his wife about the offer.

Khushi smirked and Arnav said

Arnav: Before you say anything I did it for AR ok

Khushi: (smirked more) Ok Arnavji

Arnav: (rolled his eyes more) Seriously Khushi its good for the company

Khushi: See that Baby your father does have a soft side (she said patting her time)

Arnav: (found that adorable but didn't want to show it so he tried hard to shop his smirk and said) Eat your kulfi

Khushi ate her kulfi. She was enjoying every bit of it. Making noises and moaning. Her eyes were shut. Arnav looked at her so closely he had to admit that he was turned on by her a lot. Flashback of the night that they had sex came to his mind. The way she moaned for him. Khushi had the ice cream all per her face. When she finally opened her eyes. She saw Arnav look at her and said

Khushi: What

Arnav just nodded and said in a hurry

Arnav: Are you done

Khushi nodded she wiped her mouth with the tissue papers, Saying by to Raj they left the Ice cream shop and walked back home.

When they got home Khushi was really tired and she was ready to go to sleep. It was now 3:30 am. Arnav said

Arnav: I will be in my room, I hope you dont have more cravings (he asked raising his eye brow)

Khushi nodded saying no. Arnav was about to go up when she held his hand and stopped him. he looked back confused at her and then she said in a soft voice.

Khushi: Arnavji there is one more thing

Arnav: What (he asked a bit scared)

Khushi: (hesitated) I can't sleep in the dark (she said looking down at the ground like a little child)

Arnav: (smirked he was expecting this but the way she said it just made him want to hug her tightly he said in a soft husky voice) FIne come sleep in my  room


Khushi: (eyes widened and she said) In your room

Arnav: Yeah where else (he said raising his eye brows)

Khushi: YOu would let me sleep in your room (she asked shocked) But why

Arnav: Khushi i can't let you suffer alone ok. I know ur scared of the dark so stop your talking and come to my room. I am sleepy (he said quickly)

Khushi nodded like a child and grabbed her pillow and blanket and headed to his room to sleep. She was conscious at first but quietly slipped into bed besides him. He covered her with the blanket and then said to her

Arnav: Are you ok, can i turn of the lights.

Khushi nodded a bit scared he switched off the lights and then laid down on the bed next to her. There was silence in the room Khushi's eyes were wide awake she wasn't getting sleep. She seemed to be in deep thought. Arnav too was not getting sleep he tried reducing the ac, turned the other side nothing seemed to work. Giving up he lay flat on the bed looking up at the ceiling. An aquard silence until Khushi said in a soft voice.

Khushi: Arnavji are you awake

Arnav: Hmm

Khushi: Are you also not getting sleep

Arnav: Hmm

Khushi: Arnavji

Arnav: Hmm

Khushi: Will you stop hmming (she winned)

Arnav: (turned sideways on his pillow, he looked at her and said) Aren't you asking for too many things today (he raised his eye brows)

Khushi: (eyes widened and she hesitated) I... I...

Arnav: (chuckled) Its ok, your pregnant i understand (he shifted the locks of hair from her face behind her ear)

Khushi left out a breath and then said in a soft voice.

Khushi: Thank you (she turned to him and gave him her best smile) From the baby and me both

Arnav smiled back at her and nodded. There was still a lot of silence it was now 4 am in the morning. They weren't getting sleep at all. Khushi turned to him again and said

Khushi: You still awake

Arnav: (rolling his eyes) Yeah

Khushi: (excited said) You want to play a game

Arnav: (startled) What the!! Khushi its 4, you should be sleeping not playing games. Its not good for your health or the babies. (he explained)

Khushi: (slapped her fore head and said) But Arnavji I am trying to get sleep but I can't. now you tell me what should i do. Your awake and I am awake. We are both aimlessly staring at the ceiling might as well we do something else

Arnav: (rolled his eyes and said) Why do I even bother to argue with you. (he paused and said) What game

Khushi: (excitedly clapped her hands) its simple I will tell you a word and you tell me what comes in your mind. we will build a chain of words like that ok

Arnav: What logic does that have it sounds silly

Khushi: Its not trust me Jiji and i would play for hours i helps (pausing she said) Ok here is the first word. "Food"

Arnav: (rolling his eyes he said) Cant you think of anything else

Khushi: Arnavji say na

Arnav: Ok.... Food= Pasta

Khushi: Pasta= Arnavji

Arnav: (smirked) Really you think of me when you here pasta

Khushi: (looked down cutely and then said) Well. Uhm I know you like pasta

Arnav: (smirked) Arnav= Practical

Khushi: Practical= impossible

Arnav: Impossible= Khushi (he smirked)

Khushi: (slapped him on his chest) Me I am not impossible

Arnav: Really you aren't. (he raised his eye brows) Have you seen your craziness

Khsuhi:(rolled her eyes) Khushi= jalebies (she smiled) Hmmm Yummy (she drooled)

Arnav: Jalebies= never tried

Khushi: (woke up from the bed and then looked at him shocked and said) You haven't tried Jalebies.

Arnav: Whats the big deal. I am diabetic

Khushi: Whats the big deal. Omg are you serious. Arnavji I will make you eat and that too sugar free. Thodha pheeka yoga but still you will love it. (her mouth watered and then she said) That crispy crunch of jalebies in your mouth ahhhhaa it makes you feel that you are in heaven. That sweet sugar is just so divine. Ohhh (she looked at him and then said) Come with me I will make them now (she was going to get up when Arnav stopped her and said)

Arnav: Not right now (he laid her down on the bed) Tomorrow do what ever you want ok. Right now sleep

Khushi: (smiled and then said) Ok fine but tomorrow paka ha

Arnav: (looked at her and said in a husky voice) You know I was right

Khushi: (crinkling her eye brows she said) What

Arnav: You are impossible Khushi Kumari Gupta (he smirked)

She smiled he laid down on the bed besides her and they continued their silly game until morning. Sleep took over both quite late it was an eventful night for all 3 of them.

Chapter 6A

Two weeks passed by Khushi had adjusted well in her new surroundings. Arnav organized an appointment with Hawaii's top gynocologist Dr. Melanie Palika. She was known to be the best in delivering children. She told Arnav and Khushi that the baby was fine and very healthy as of now. She put Khushi on to a diet along with her supplements. Some minor exercises. It was her first month, the doctor said that maintaining a fixed routine for her from now was important. Walking was a must. The lector had also told Arnav to make sure that she gets no kind of stress and pain emotionally. She had to keep her mental state in good condition and had to make sure that her environment was relaxing and soothing at all times. No yelling no shouting and defiantly no loosing temper when she came up with silly ideas. Arnav made a strict not of that.

Khushi was doing fine. She would get up at 8 and have her hot cup of tea at the pool side area. Arnav would join her with his cup of coffee. They would spend a good 1 hour together before Arnav left for work.  In the evening when he would return back they would eat dinner. He would forcefully feed her every mosul so that she at well. They would sped some more time together and then by 12 he would put her to bed. If he had his way he would make her sleep at 10 but Khushi had this thing. She could not sleep until she had seen all her favorite tv shows. Arnav managed to have a tata sky with Indian channels put up in their house. She would sit from 9:30 onwards to 12 watching her programs, what was worse is that she would try to talk him into seeing it. He would refuse but she very conveniently use to say that it would make the baby happy if it father would also sit and watch the shows with them. Having no choice he use to sit with her and watch. It was funny she would watch emotional scenes and would cry and he would be holding tissues in his hand sulking to himself as to where he got himself stuck.

From the work front he had opened an AR office at Hawaii and was in constant touch with the Delhi Office and Akash. They were planning on expanding their business as much as they could. Arnav had big plans for the future and to help him to set the office up Arnav got Aman to Hawaii. Yes Aman came to Hawaii. Over the past few days he had tried all kinds of personal assistants and for some reason he would insist on calling all of them Aman be it a man or women. Khushi would find that hilarious. She just prayed they wouldn't name their kid Aman because that would just be weird. Not like the name was bad or anything but still not wanting to take a risk she suggested that they get Aman here. Arnav would constantly call her up to find out how she was. He hired help so she wouldn't have to do the work. Things were finally building up for them as far as settling was concerned.

It was around 12:30 am in the morning when a sleepy Khushi lay on the bed in the dark room. Her stomach growled making her wake up. The only thought in her mind was that she was hungry and she had to eat. But she didn't want to eat just anything she wanted to eat Kulfi. It seemed that she would die if she didn't eat it like right now. Getting off the bed she went to the kitchen and dug into the fridge but there was no kulfi.

Khushi: Hey devi maya now what will I do. (she cried) I need Kulfi now. We are not even in India. If we were there would always be kulfi in the fridge.

She went back up and tried to get sleep but couldn't her mouth was watering with the thought of Kulfi. How that ice cream tasted so good. When the cold sensation touched her tongue it gave her tingles and chills. the taste was so different so unique. She moaned. Her tummy growled again and she  couldn't take it any longer. The only way out was to wake him up. She looked down at her baby and said in a cute voice

Khushi: Hey baby, This Kulfi craving is driving me insane I tell you, now dont think your mama is crazy because the option to get this craving fulfilled is to get your father to help me.

She woke up and walked towards his room knocked on the door twice. Arnav was asleep but he was a light sleeper. Hearing the knock he woke up with a jerk to register what was going on. Khushi knocked again and said

Khushi: Arnavji wake up (she tried to shout)

Arnav rubbed his eyes hearing Khushi's voice immediately getting up, he thought something must be wrong with the baby or her health for her to wake him up so late. He opened the door and looked at her and said

Arnav: What happened are you ok (he asked worried)

Khushi: No I am not (she sulked)

He took her into his room and made her sit on the bed comfortably and asked

Arnav: Is it paining you, Have you taken your medicines (he asked in a hurry)

Khushi: Oh no Arnavji its not paining me anywhere (she said looking irritated)

Arnav: Then what happened (he asked raising his eye brows)

Khushi: I want Kulfi (she said in a cute voice)

Arnav: (opened his mouth shocked) What The

Khushi: (held his shoulder like a child and nudged him) Arnavji please get me Kulfi I need it.

Arnav: Khushi where am I too get Kulfi from whats wrong with you Its 1 in the morning (he yelled)

Khushi: (hearing hims shouting started to cry saying in a cranky voice) Your shouting at me (she sniffed) I can't help it I need Kulfi I can't sleep (sniff) Arnavji you dont care any more (sniff and crying)

Arnav: (calmed himself down and then tried to calm her down) Khsuhi no its not like that off course I care. but you tell me where am I too get Kulfi right now for you.

Khushi: (sulking) I dont know I just want it and I want it right now

Arnav: (yelled back) Your impossible and crazy woman.

Khushi again started to cry and he immediately changed his tone

Arnav: Ok OK I am sorry I am sorry

Khushi: (sniffing) Arnavji I am going to get kulfi

Arnav: From where

Khushi: I dont know I will walk on the streets till I find some Kulfi (she said determined)

Arnav: What the!! No you wont

Khushi: Yes I will

Arna: no

Khushi: yes

Arnav: Fine then I am coming with you

She smiled and then they both set foot to go in search of Kulfi on the streets of Hawaii.
